The experience of repairing print & apply labeler
Since 2008 , KWT became a distributer of Label-Aire , U.S. labelling machine manufacturer , in Taiwan. Till today , already sold a lot of Print & Apply labelers to our customers Taiwan & South East Asia.
One Taiwan Customer has an over 15 years machine from KWT , and it seems that , the HMI is broken , because can’t display the content after machine power-on. Besides , obviously , the sensor of rewind disk is broken as well.
According the experience in before , the time difference is the most difficult part for repairing the print & apply , especially when we have to seek the help from Label-Aire. If we face an issue then send an e-mail to Label-Aire for finding solution. When we get the reply , perhaps , there are 2 – 3 days passed. Thus, this time we would like to carry on a different program.
- Asking the help from Label-Aire to provide the checking list, about all possible reasons & its solution to solve the HMI working incorrectly.
- Seeking the support from ex-chief engineer of Label-Aire Asia, to guide us processing the checking list one by one.
- If can’t fix the machine issues after above two steps, will arrange the on-line video call with Label-Aire servicing team.
We discussed with customer first , to let us remove the machine back to KWT , during its down-time period , we can have enough time to repair this machine , if it is necessary , we can work at midnight for calling to LAI service team. (the time difference between LA and Taiwan is 16 hours ) Then set the schedule for ex-chief engineer of Label-Aire Asia and Label-Aire service team in U.S.
Customer knew our determination of fixing machine issues after the heatfelt explanation, and agreed to go through our new program. Certainly, we always can get the support form Label-Aire , as well.
Finally , machine issues are solved , after processing the checking list and replacing some components. Fortunately, we accomplish the machine repairing when we go to the second step. Thanks for customer’s realization , the support from ex-chief engineer of Label-Aire Asia and LAI service team. Of course , thank God.
